Therapy for Trauma

Can trauma therapy help me?

A common experience after trauma is being worried that your trauma doesn’t “count” or wasn’t “bad enough.” At the same time, you might be feeling like your world is closing in. You’re more hesitant and the places you want to go are getting fewer and farther in between. Whatever the event, relationship, or situation you’ve been through, my office is a place to explore and heal. My clients have described feeling able to engage more fully in their lives after treatment, feeling less controlled by past situations, and feeling more connected to what matters to them. • Unwanted sexual experiences can bring up a lot of emotions and thoughts, and often these feel confusing and sometimes conflicting. I provide a nonjudgmental space to explore your experience and work toward healing both your brain and your body. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness techniques and work with you to create a safe and supportive environment. We will work to build your resiliency and to empower you with effective coping strategies.
